Is Your Dad Rad? Enter These Father’s Day Contests to Win Him a Prize
Father’s Day is a time to show your dad how much you appreciate him — and one way is to win him some great prizes.
Every year, plenty of news stations, organizations and businesses run competitions involving different ways of sharing how much you love your dad. Some of these contests are simple, and all you have to do is fill out a simple online form, while others require a little more time and effort, such as finding funny photos or even putting together a video.
Want to show the world your love for your pops and maybe win him a prize or two? Here are a few contests to enter this week.
Miami Herald Steakhouse Giveaway
If your dad’s a committed carnivore, enter this contest put together by the Miami Herald to win a delightful dinner at some of the best steakhouses in Miami.
Enjoy a meal at The Forge, Quality Meats or Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, including gift certificates for up to $500. Enter by June 20 for your shot at a free steak.
WKOW “Dad is Rad” Giveaway
What better way to celebrate Father’s Day than to win your dad a pricey grill? Madison, Wisconsin’s WKOW TV station is giving away several prizes to celebrate dads this time of year, including a $700 Weber grill, a Craftsman tool set and other great prizes as part of their “Dad is Rad” contest.
Entries are due June 22. To win, like the station on Facebook and tell everyone why your dad is rad. Complete rules and entry instructions are available here.
Odessa American Contest
Did your dad give you some great advice growing up? Did he offer his sage wisdom even into your adult years? Share his advice with the world (and maybe even win him a prize) by entering the Odessa American’s contest.
To enter, simply go to Odessa American’s website and fill out the entry form by June 21 for a shot at winning him a mystery prize (specific prizes have not been announced).
KY3-TV Contests
Springfield, Missouri-based KY3-TV is hosting several Father’s Day-themed contests this year. Enter the Father’s Day Grill Giveaway by June 19 to win an impressive seven-burner grill or a second place prize of a four-piece grilling set. The same station is also offering a $50 gift certificate to Dublin’s Pass Irish Pub and Restaurant, which is located in Springfield, Missouri.
WBNG Father’s Day Photo and Video Contest
Have a great photo or video of your dad you’d like to share with the world? Perhaps an image of him decked out in grilling gear or with a prize-worthy fish?
Enter WBNG’s Father’s Day Photo and Video Contest by June 19. Simply upload a photo or video of your dad, and a randomly chosen winner will receive six different prizes, including a number of different gift cards.
WHNN – World’s Greatest Dad
Do you have the World’s Greatest Dad? Enter this contest by 8 a.m. ET on June 19 for a shot at a $100 gift card from Hoffman Power Equipment or a spectacular Northwoods Wholesale prize package that includes everything you need to go camping, including a kayak, tent, sleeping bags, an airbed, cooler, propane burner, LED lantern, cast iron skillet and more.
Windsor Crossing Baseball Contest

KYSM Country 103.5 Ugly Grill Contest

Radio station listeners will vote on the best photo and the winner will receive a $300 gift certificate towards a new grill plus a $50 gift certificate to Nusbaum’s Meats. Be sure to enter by June 18.
Matilda the Musical Tickets
If you live in New York, Connecticut or New Jersey, enter this father-child photo contest for a shot at four tickets to see Matilda the Musical on Broadway. Photos must be from a public Instagram account and include a few specifics, such as the dad’s name, child’s first name and age, and neighborhood where you live. Submissions are due June 19.
Volkswagen Reading Father’s Day Video Contest
If your dad loves cars, why not enter Volkswagen Reading’s contest to win $1,000 and a chance to drive a brand-new model?
Make a one- to three-minute commercial about MMCO Auto and one of their dealerships that focuses on the message, “MMCO Auto is committed to putting customers into the car of their dreams.” They encourage you to visit a dealership to shoot the video, and entries are due June 30.
